INTERVALS (sometimes called "HIIT") -- Short bouts of cardio/strength moves followed by active, lower intensity moves support weight loss and increased fitness. Janice demo's options so that all can safely work to their full potential. Students perform moves standing and on the floor. Cardio and strength work is followed by stretching and mindful meditation. We rock out to a playlist that will make you want to move! Students need to bring a yoga mat, weights (3-5 #/each), and water.
GENTLE STRENGTH & STABILITY-- Janice teaches several versions of this class to different audiences. The workout helps participants increase muscular endurance and core strength so that everyday acts of living can be accomplished more easily.
CARDIO+YOGA-- Janice and Yoga Instructor Stephanie Bost join forces to offer a class where participants first increase their heart rates and turn on the metabolism and work the core, followed by a flow yoga sequence to challenge the muscles, hone stability, and finally, finish with a relaxing meditation. Options shown for both cardio and yoga moves so that students can work at their own level.
PERSONAL TRAINING -- Numerous studies have proven that working with a trainer can help you reach fitness goals; accountability is KEY. But Janice believes it needs to be enjoyable, too! She's just goofy enough so that your effective workout is also different each time -- to keep you engaged. Goals might include weight loss; increasing strength and endurance; improving balance and posture. Individual sessions available in 30 and 60 minute increments at Janice's home gym. Training at your location possible for added travel fee. Small groups are also welcome -- so if you and up to 2 other friends (spouse/partner) want to share cost, it can be arranged.
